Recently I had chances to take photos of basketball games in a high school. Hope that you can also share their fun in games.

pipe connecting to the toilet in my home broke. The whole flat was overwhelmed by salt water.

I loaded my FM2 and F-100 in my camera bag and put on the floor in my room, so both were soaked in water for several hours until my mom came home.

I knew that the F-100 was gone. However, the FM2 was not look bad, I hoped that it could be repaired. The FM2 has been with me for 14 years. I bought it right before I went to the US to study in college. It was with me in all years when I was in the US. I used it to take a wonderful photo of my classmate and my co-worker's son at a park near LACC in Los Angeles. I did take tons of slappy photos with it too. In Texas, Britain, Japan, many places, for 14 years. I took care of it very well. It is still look like a new camera.

My students were having examination in the last two weeks. I was extremely busy to grade the exams last week. As the principal loaded extra workload on my shoulders, I worked day and night without any spare time to take my camera to repair. I was upset and worried, but that's life, I have to put my responsibility first.

I finally took my FM2 to the office of Nikon HK on Saturaday, but the staff in Nikon told that the machine was hopeless. After little struggling with the staff, I accepted that I have to say goodbye to the FM2 and wiped in the office.

The sunshine broke out delightfully last Saturaday. I called my high school classmate to go to Tsim Sha Tsui to watch exhibition in museum and to take photos for her little boy.

When we were taking photos, a baby nearby came closed to my friend's kid and want to play with him. I was interested in taking of photos of two littles playing together. However, my friend's boy was too shy to meet and always ran away. The baby thought that was a game, so chasing after him. It was very funny. Finally, I could not take any successful photo of two kids playing together. However, the baby is very cute.

There was some sunlight during 3p.m. today. Therefore I took a camera loaded with a roll of slide - I took a few photos with it in flower show, and the D70 to a park nearby. I wanted to finish the roll of slide ASAP.

I met a six-year-old boy in the park. He came closed to me curiously. We started a tropic about bees.

He looked at my exotic machine. I know he was interested to it. I let me look through the view finder of my camera. The boy got overjoy and used his hand to examine my lens. My, my. He left his fingerprint on the front glass of the lens. Oops. Fortunately, I had my lens-cleaning eqipment with me.

I took away the camera with slide and put D70 (Digital SLR) on my tripod. I lock an extension tube with a 105mm micro lens on the DSLR. We shot a few flowers, then we played a tracing game to small bugs and beatles in flowers. One of the wonderful things about DC is that you can let kids take as many photos as they like. The boy at the beginning was very timid, but very soon he shoot the bugs with the DSLR like using an machine gun. :)

After he has learnt how to enlarge photos and to seach bugs on photos, he imitated me to adjust the focus ring on lens and to move the tripod. Of course, he lost the focus to the bug every time he did, but he was having fun. I sometimes re-focused the bugs and flowers for him. We had a wonderful time.

Anyway, his hand is too small, so most of photos he shoots are shaked. The photos on this post were all my works. The last two photos were taken near my home on Thrusday evening. I just put them together on this post.

What is the worst thing in Chinese New Year? Food.

No matter which family you visit

No matter what time

No matter you just had your meal

or totally nothing,

there's still lots of food in front of you.

No matter what you say

No matter how slow you eat

the host still asks you to have more

and goes to fill another bowl for you.

Yau Kwok, Jin Dui, Gwa Zhi and fried puddings,

Food only fired is found as snacks.

Chicken, pork chops, crab, prawn and abalone,

Please, I just want a bowl of porridge.

No pupu for a week, pains dance under the belly everyday.

New pimples everyday, fear to stand before mirror this week.

I love Chinese tradition.

Happy New Year to you all.

On the second day of Chinese New Year, I went to the West Tunnel to take pictures for firework. There were some rain and heavy fog in the evening. We once thought that we should turn back. However the fog gone later of the night, and the rain stopped before the show started. We were luck. I used black card to take photos for the first time. Lacking of experience with the use of black card, many fireworks on photos are like bamboos. Haha.

In this month, there is a contest of designing combating techniques for a particular character in a popular comics on an online forum in mainland China .

Yesterday, I came up with an idea, so I wrote it down and created a short story outline. The combating technique was awarded the highest score in the contest up to this moment. The score is 60% higher than that of the technique at the second place. I feel great because this success means I am able enough to write something which can win appreciation in the population in mainland China. ;)

Anyway, I am going to lose the contest because the prize will be given according to the quantity of works, not quality. In other words, it depends on the number of combating techniques created by a person. However, it doesn't matter at all.

Tonight, I went to attent a voice-actor training course. My friend in church has a friend who took the course and felt the course very interesting. She told me that I will have chance to touch and use the real, professional equipments, to visit a recording studio, and to meet professional voice-actors. Therefore, I went to take the course at night.

It was the first lesson. The instructor spend almost one and a half hour on history only. I fell to sleep several times.

In the last half and hour of the lesson, we finally have chance to do our first test-drive recording. The instructor played a session of fighting movement in a Kung-fu moive in 60s. We need to add the voice for actors who were fighting. All we did were saying "HA", "Hei", "Ah", and etc when actors moved. Sound easy but actually very difficult. Students made a lot of jokes when they acted.

My turn came, and I acted as a lady fighter in the moive. When I looked at the TV screen, I couldn't catch up with the movement of actors, of course I was silent. The last movement of the fight is the lady kicked on a men's body and made him fried out to drop on a trolley. I waked up at the movement and cried loudly "HAAA!". The person sitting right next to me immediately yelled, "YOU SCARED ME!" Laughters explosed in the whole class. I laid my face on the bench and laugh to an extent that I was not able to straight my body.

Well, well, well. Happy test drive. XDDDD
